If you grew up in an
Anglicized Italian
neighborhood, you've
probably called someone,
or worse, been called,
a chooch.

The term is derived from
the Italian ciuccio and
means 'dummy' or 'donkey'

In many Italian-American
households, the expression
'my little pain in the ass,
what are you getting
into now?' is close to
what your mother meant.
In the case of our
Abbruzzese owner, well the
nickname "Chooch" just stuck
(Affectionately of course)!!
